The project draws inspiration from the crested crane, translating its soft, organic character into an architectural language.

The building is shaped by functional programming. By strategic arrangement and optimization of space, the layout accommodates more units than initially planned. The concept echoes the bird’s organic shapes through the rooftop patio and incorporates a palette of natural hues.

Design

Planning logic

The building engages its surroundings through a sequence of shared spaces that extend daily life beyond individual units. Outdoor areas and visual connections create a more open and connected residential environment.

Connection with the street life

A courtyard-like entrance defines the arrival experience, creating a calm and welcoming threshold. This space introduces light, greenery, and a sense of openness, setting the tone for the building.

Entry

The material palette is intentionally restrained, combining warm wood, light masonry, and darker accents to articulate volumes and transitions. Natural textures soften the building’s scale and reinforce a sense of warmth and familiarity.

Material Expression

Amenities are distributed throughout the building, both indoors and outdoors, supporting daily routines and informal interaction. These spaces enhance the overall living experience while reinforcing a sense of community.
